005_ShoppingThe Downtown Cadillac Association (DCA) goal is to foster cohesiveness in the downtown area and coordinate events located within the Downtown Development Authority, to promote downtown shopping, dining and commerce.

Events – The DCA directly coordinates and plans two in-store only events, two community collaborative events and three downtown festivals. Our events focus on the consumer – local residents and visitors. We are always looking for event volunteers, so if you would like to help out, please contact any of our board members.

Membership – We meet quarterly, the second Thursday at 8am, in January, April, July and October, with our Annual Meeting in February of each year. Our membership is made up of Merchants, Bankers, Restaurants, Attorneys, Realtors, Insurance Agents, Salons, Building Owners, Churches, etc. all located within the DDA District. Businesses outside of the DDA District and community members can become a ‘Friend of the DCA’ and participate in our events and downtown commerce opportunities. We offer a monthly newsletter keeping our members up to date on DCA event planning, discussions at our general membership meetings, new businesses to the DDA District, educational opportunities, community events and DCA news. Through the association our members have opportunities for group media sections and other special promotions throughout the year.

Collaboration – The DCA works in collaboration with the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau, Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce, Cadillac West Association and the Downtown Development Authority to promote Cadillac to local residents and visitors. Our community leaders understand that we need to work together to maintain and grow our community.
